'Vampire Diaries' Cast Congratulates U.S. Olympic Winner Gabby Douglas, Will She Guest Star?

Winning two gold medals, including Women's All Around, at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took an immense amount of discipline, but that doesn't mean Gabby Douglas doesn't have time to unwind with her favorite vampires on TV like the rest of us.

The 16-year-old Olympian's favorite show happens to be the CW's Vampire Diaries and her celebrity crush, the show's star, Ian Somerhalder.
When the show's executive producer, Julie Plec, Tweeted the athlete last week to congratulate her on the win, Gabby gushed back and even hinted at possibly guest starring.
"Awww thank you soo much!!! Btw this is one of my FAVORITE SHOW! #TheVampireDiaires #Guessappearance? sic lol :) <3."
Julie replied warmly, writing: "You let us know when you're free and we'll see what we can do!"
