The Vampire Diaries Season 4 premiere is a month away and fans of the show can't wait to watch newly minted vampire, Elena Gilbert, meld into her new supernatural role.

After dying in a car crash with vampire blood in her system on the season finale last spring, the minute-long trailer features a scared Elena who is described as "being in transition...not fully dead, not fully alive."
She has 24 hours until feeding time and the vampires are set on easing her into her new life with fangs as easily as possible.

Meanwhile, Bonnie brainstorms a scheme, there's some well-placed nudity, another car crash and Sherrif Forbes is stern with some new neighborhood ne'er do wells.
