Vanessa: Wonderful Working With Lindsay

While Vanessa Williams might play a scheming tyrannical boss on Ugly Betty, in real life she's happiest just being a mom.
OK! caught up to Vanessa at the Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition Blu-Ray and DVD release in NYC yesterday, where the busy working mom worked the red carpet with her 8-year-old daughter Sasha and talked about her Ugly Betty co-stars, including guest star Lindsay Lohan.
"It’s been wonderful," Vanessa says of working with Lindsay. "I don’t want to give anything away, but she does come to work with me for a bit. We have a couple scenes that were kind of uncomfortable for her considering I’m the villain, but she did a wonderful job."
"She had to play a really not likeable character," she adds, "so she only has this one particular episode where she’s introduced. I think people will enjoy seeing it"

As for who Vanessa's dream guest star, she says she'd like to see Bette Midler take a turn on the set.
"I think she would be able to be on the same level as Wilhelmina," she told OK!.
Along with her date for the event, Sasha, Vanessa has three other children, keeping her busy off the set. So what's her favorite part about being a mother?
"I’ve been a mom for 21 years, I don’t know my life without being a mom. It’s the best, most rewarding role you could ever have. It’s the most challenging but I love it," she reveals.
And those mothering instincts have kicked in when it comes to helping soon-to-be mother of two, co-star Rebecca Romijn.
"Of course, I give her tons of advice," Vanessa says. "I’ve given her books, I’ve given her organic cotton baby clothes from Green Baby, told her nursing tips and getting your baby out of breach and into the proper position. We talk a lot."
