"Why do they think Teen Mom is such a popular show?" Matt Lauer asked the young parents on the Today show.
"I think people can relate to it a lot," Tyler explained. "More and more teen pregnancy is obviously a rising issue. I think people can relate to a lot of things that the girls on the show go through, so far as being teenagers and moms.
"Also, I have a lot of mothers tell me, 'I sit down with my children and watch this show,'" Catelynn added. "They think it's a good show to show their children, if you have sex and get pregnant, these are all the struggles you will go through."

But do Catelynn and Tyler think teen pregnancy has been glamorized by the hit show?
"I feel like if you sit down and watch the show, I don't think it shows any single thing of glamor in teen pregnancy," Catelynn said.

"I don't think it's glamorizing anything because all the stuff on the show is real. All the struggles that we go through and Maci Bookout and Farrah Abraham and everybody else there is no way it is glamorizing anything."

And both agreed that they are telling other teens a cautionary tale and Matt added, "You can't just let it get to be where you're reality stars."
"We don't look at ourselves like that anyways," Catelynn said.
"Absolutely not," Tyler added.
