NEWSVideo: Kristin Cavallari Confesses 'The Hills' Was "Pretty Fake" But Her Dislike for Lauren Conrad Was Real

The Hills wasn't real? Duh!
Kristin Cavallari revealed the truth about the hit MTV show on Bravo's Watch What Happens.
She said it was all "pretty fake."

"Did they tell you what to say and stuff?" host Andy Cohen replied. "Pretty much," she said. "Fake relationships, fake fights ... but it was fun, 'cause you're acting. And that was more fun for me."
“Wow! That’s amazing,” Andy said. He then asked who she regretted dating on the show.
"No one, I would say Justin (Justin "Bobby" Brescia) but I never really dated him,” Kristin said.
“It was fake…” he stated.
“Yeah…” she replied.
Andy then said: “So you were like an actor…you were making out with him…”

“I think I made out with him once, and that took a lot of convincing. Finally I was like, 'All right, I'll just do it!'" she said.
At this point, Taylor Armstrong , who was also a guest on the show, was laughing uncontrollably and said: “Can we start acting on our show? Do you think I would look like such an assh*le if I were scripted? I would have fought for a line or two. I wouldn’t have ended up in a suitcase!”
What's interesting is that although Kristin did have "fake fights" and relationships, her feud with Lauren Conrad was not just for the cameras. Her dislike for her costar was real.

But she has much sweeter things to say about LC now.
"I feel like they put things in our heads," she says. "We were 17 and 18, and they made it a lot worse than it was."
Kristin, 25, is now engaged to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and the two have a son together Camden who was welcomed into the world in August.
