Was Pretty Little Liars Star Brant Daugherty Really Robbed At Gunpoint?

On Monday night's episode of Dancing with the Stars, Brant Daugherty revealed to his pro dance partner Peta Murgatroyd he had just experienced some really bad luck—he had been robbed at gunpoint!

"That was not a lie," Brant admitted to OK! on the DWTS press line. "Last Monday, after the show, I was really robbed at gunpoint."

So how did the crime go down?

"(I was) outside of my apartment, as I was walking up to my apartment building," he explains. "He took my dance shoes in a backpack with a pair of pants and two t-shirts."

Peta was shocked when Brant shared the news.

"Oh my gosh, he texted me the next morning and I thought he was joking," she remembers. "I was like, 'What!?!' But it was totally real. Three terrible things happened to him: His phone got stolen, he got robbed at gunpoint and then his foot was injured."

Somehow, despite everything, Brant and Peta pulled off an amazing performance on Monday night, earning the highest judges scores for the week.

"Honestly with the week that I had it’s been pretty stressful and we were just hoping to be above mediocre," says Brant. "To come out and put on such a good show it really made me so happy."
