After a emotional season on Dancing With the Stars, Chaz Bono was eliminated on Tuesday's result show.

Chaz was the most-talked about contestant of the season, as he was the first transgendered star to hit the dance floor on the hit ABC reality competition.

He faced the haters head on and embraced all the fan support and love he received.

In the end, it may have been the Phantom of the Opera themed tango, which placed him at the bottom of the leader board with a 19 out of 30 from the judges, may have been the reason for his dismissal.

Bruno Tonioli, for example, compared Chaz to a penguin, a basketball and an Ewok from Return of the Jedi!

"We were upset, not with the scores but with the comments toward me personally," Chaz said of the criticism. "We thought we did a good job Monday night."

Chaz and pro partner Lacey Schwimmer held their heads high as they left, but his mom Cher sounded like she was having a tougher time with the elimination.  She Tweeted, "I Have Got 2Hold my TEMPER ! MY Tears R OK ! Congratulations Chaz I'm SOPROUD of U ! This was YOUR Quest...& u Followed your Star." OK!
