Hines Ward may not have received a Super Bowl ring this year, but the Pittsburgh Steeler was more lucky on the dance floor, as he and pro partner Kym Johnson won the coveted mirror ball trophy and were crowned champions of season 12 of Dancing With the Stars.

"Oh my gosh, it's just incredible. I feel so proud of Hines," Kym gushed to reporters after their big victory. "We did it! I still can't believe it!"

So where will Hines keep the mirror ball trophy?

OK! NEWS: HINES WARD & KYM JOHNSON WIN MIRROR BALL TROPHY ON DWTS!

"Right next to my MVP trophy in my house," he shared.

The champ said he tried not to "reflect back" on his dances during the competition, but now that he won the mirror ball trophy he will certainly re-watch his triumph on the dance floor.

"I've got every episode and I'm going to go home and play it and re-play it," he said. "It's just phenomenal. I didn't want to let Kym down all season because I really wanted her to win her second mirror ball trophy. I hope I represented well and held up my end of the bargain."

When his name was called, Hines said he heard it, but also looked over at his fellow top-two competitor, Kirstie Alley.

"I looked over and I saw Kirstie and I was like, 'Jeez, everybody loves Kirstie,' " he said. "It had come down to voting. I really didn't know how I would match up to Kirstie. It's the fans. It's definitely the fans."

Are his football buddies making fun of him?

"No, they're not. I brought back this trophy," Hines said. "They can't say anything."

And Hines plans to bring his experience on DWTS to the football field.

"I'll be doing a tribute to Kym every time I score a touchdown," he shared. "You will see a DWTS routine somewhere in the end zone.

Will any of his football buddies follow in his dancing footsteps?

"No. It's grueling," Hines admitted. "This is grueling. I disrespected this show when I first came on. I was like, 'I can do that.' But after doing it, it's a lot of hard work that goes into it."
