Leave it to Lady Gaga to make things a bit strange last night on American Idol. Mother Monster took the stage with her latest hit, "The Edge of Glory," and her performance was not without a stunt! While nothing caught on fire and no eggs hatched, Gaga did fall, giving her performance a dramatic end.
Gaga started her performance atop a makeshift cliff, wearing a larger-than-life headpiece (which she quickly removed).

Her costume stayed true to Gaga fashion, with ripped tights, lots of latex, studs and oversized jewelry.
Halfway through the performance, a male dancer joined Gaga on the cliff — So You Think You Can Dance contestant Mark Kanemura — and the duo got a little frisky before sharing a passing kiss and jumping to their "ends."

It was very Romeo and Juliet.
And this performance wasn't the first time Gaga made waves on Idol. She served as mentor to the final four contestants and made the guys a bit uncomfortable with her guidance.
She also wore stilettos with penis heels.
