The Super Bowl is this Sunday, but let’s be honest: It’s the commercials that really keep us entertained during those hours of big guys bumping into each other. It seems like this year has even more ads coming out early than ever before, and one brand is already in trouble!
SodaStream is the world’s leading home carbonation system, and they’ve signed the sultry Scarlett Johansson to be their first Global Brand Ambassador. This commercial for the appliance won’t be airing during the Super Bowl, however—it’s being banned by Fox! Watch below to get an idea of why.
What’s so wrong with that? It’s not too overtly sexual or otherwise inappropriate, so what gives? Well, it seems you’re not supposed to have a mention of a direct competitor in American advertising. So that little “Sorry, Coke and Pepsi” line will have to go come Sunday.
