Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is based on the 2005 novel by Jonathan Safran Foer, Huffington Post reports.
Tom and Sandra play husband and wife who have a genius 13-year-old son (Thomas Horn), in the film. After Tom dies in the attacks on the World Trade Center, his son goes on a journey to find the lock that matches a key his father left behind.
