When it comes to etiquette, manners and overall good behavior, even celebrities need help navigating the rough waters of stardom! It’s a good thing Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York is joining forces with OK! to school them on the right thing to do! In a rough situation, we just ask, “What Would the Countess Do?” This week, the Countess weighs in on celebrity parenting and live TV meltdowns!
Michael Lohan keeps talking to the press about his daughter, Lindsay Lohan, and all her alleged problems. Is this an effective form of parenting if your kid is a celeb?
I would suggest that Michael Lohan do his parenting face-to-face rather than in the media. I'd like to believe that he’s more concerned about his daughter than his own fame but couldn’t he think of a better way than a press conference to convey his concern to Lindsay? Lindsay is going to have to decide for herself if and when she gets help. She is young and talented. It would be a shame to squander such potential.

Kate Gosselin recently had a meltdown on Dancing With the Stars. What are your thoughts on TV Tantrums?
Kate quickly made up with her dance pro Tony Dovolani after telling him he didn’t know how to teach. And he apologized for saying “I quit.” Television tantrums can be fun to watch but embarrassing for the people losing their cool on camera. It is better to take a step back in heated situations before saying something that you will regret later. Luckily for Kate, Tony agreed to continue competing with her in spite of her behavior. With the judges comparing her to a Stepford wife, her tantrum may be all we remember of her turn on DWTS.
