Whitney Houston sadly passed away a week ago at the young age of 48.
And today, she will now be put to rest amongst her family and friends. With the service being streamed online and airing on networks from ABC to CNN to MSNBC, it is time to remember the woman she was and the amazing talent she had.
The service begins now at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J. With speakers ranging from Kevin Costner to Clive Davis and performances from Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys, there will not be a dry eye in the house.
Aretha Franklin was scheduled to perform but has decided against it. Perhaps it is just too emotional while dealing with her loss.
Among those coming to support Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina, ex-husband Bobby Brown, mother Cissy Houston and godmother Aretha, are Mariah Carey, Oprah Winfrey, Mary J. Blige, Spike Lee and more.
