On July 15, Jessica Simpson stepped out of an SUV wearing a tight dress, on the way to a Beverly Hills business meeting, and revealed what appeared to be a baby bump. Almost immediately the news began to spread. "She certainly does look like she's about 25 weeks along," Boston ob-gyn Dr. Dave David tells OK! in this week's issue after examining Jessica photos.

A baby would be wonderful news for Jessica, 31, who is set to marry fiancé Eric Johnson this summer. The singer has made no secret of her longing to start a brood. “I definitely see myself having a family with him,” Jessica said. “That’s exciting to think about.” Other friends of the star admit they expect her to make an announcement shortly.

“Her priority now is to be a wife and mother, so I can easily believe she’s pregnant,” says one longtime confidante, who anticipates that Jessica and Eric will be parents sooner rather than later. “Jessica’s already been the young bride, the starlet and the mogul, so she’s ready for motherhood. If a happy ‘accident’ has happened before the wedding, she and Eric would be pretty thrilled.”
Jessica and Eric may be privately delighted, but an insider cautions that an announcement of a new baby probably won't be coming until after Jessica walks down the aisle.
"It would make sense that she would want to keep it a secret because she's always had this clean, wholesome image as a Southern girl who got her start singing church hymns," explains the insider.
