I’m in Nashville, Tennessee. I’ve wanted to come here for a long time. So far, it’s been all that and then some.

Not able to resist one last Rey Berry (Patron with muddled strawberries and a splash of lime juice) from Crown Bar, I stayed out until 2am Friday night.

I was in bed by 3am.

At 5am a car picked me up from the airport.

A few hours later Amber and I landed in Nashville. A driver was there to meet us and take us to the ginormous Gaylord Opryland Resort, where the next day, today, tonight, actually in a few minutes, FUSE, the first Vegas-style club in Nashville will open. Kid Rock is hosting it, and Kim Kardashian. Kid I understand. Kim not as much.

Last night we had a nice dinner at a wine bar with my friend Cassie. Cassie is from Nashville. I met her when she moved to New York for a bit. At the time she was a publicist for Taylor Swift and I went to lunch with Cassie, Taylor and Taylor’s mom.

Cassie moved back to Nashville and is doing fantastic. She invited me here this weekend. After dinner she took us to a bar that looked like a little Tao. She took us there so I could meet Justin Gaston, the hot, hot, hot Nashville Star cast-off. He made the final 11, but he was eliminated a few weeks ago. He’s cute. He’s a singer/songwriter. More singer/songwriter than country. He’s cute. He’s going to be in a big country artist’s video soon. So I hear. He’s cute. He’s 19. Unbelievable.

Next we went to Broadway so we could see Honky Tonk bars. We went to Paradise Park. It was fun. I was told today Carrie Underwood was a few bars down at Tin Roof.

This morning I went to rehearsals for Nashville Star. I interviewed Melissa Lawson. I think she’s going to win. She has five sons and has lost 80lbs. in the last six or so months. She was inspirational. You can read the interview in OK! July 28. If I was a gambling girl I’d say she’s going to win. And Gabe Garcia is going to be in the top two.

After rehearsal we went back to Broadway. I took touristy pictures. Ended up at Tootsies listening to more Country Music than I’ve ever heard in my lifetime. We drank bloody mary’s. All the salt made us not so hungry but passing Cracker Barrel en route back to the hotel Amber and I still thought it would be a good idea to stop and try it. It wasn’t. I had mushy green beans and carrots. She had runny eggs and goopy grits. We could have done without both. Now we’re going to the party. Amber knows more about Country so she’s going to do the red carpet in my place. Stay tune ;) xo
