Zac Efron showed off his new look outside BBC Radio 1 studios in London on Thursday. The actor's scruffy facial hair is a clear reminder that this stud is no longer 17 Again and has graduated from High School Musical. Zac was in London to promote his new movie Charlie St. Cloud, which unfortunately hasn't been received near as well as his new scruff.
Zac has been trying to prove that he's not just a teen heart-throb, but while the beard does reflect a new sense of maturity, he'd have to get a whole lot hairier to damper his dreaminess.

We don't know if Zac's facial hair will be any help in getting him more hard-hitting roles, but it's sure to give girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens a harder role since she'll have to ward off even more women hitting on her man.
