San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested in Ohio on suspicion of engaging in prostitution.
The NFL executive, 46, was booked into the Columbiana County Jail on August 23 before posting a $5,000 bond.
Jed York Arrested in Ohio
Jed York was arrested in Ohio on suspicion of engaging in prostitution.
The arrest initially stemmed from a suspicion of engaging in prostitution, according to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com.
York allegedly responded to an ad on a known prostitute website and "arranged to have sexual activity with the female in exchange for $140," per The California Post.
The case, however, moved quickly through the court system following York's arrest.
Prosecutors amended the original engaging-in-prostitution count to misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
On August 24, York pleaded no contest to the amended charge.
York also pleaded no contest to possessing criminal tools, which was classified as a misdemeanor.
Jed York Was Sentenced to 1 Day in Jail
Jed York spent one day in jail and was ordered to pay a $1,150 fine.
A judge sentenced York to one day in jail on each count, with the sentences served concurrently. He was also given credit for time already served.
York was ordered to pay $1,150 in fines following the no-contest pleas, and his phone has since been returned to him.
Meanwhile, $160 seized in the case was forfeited to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

Jed York Faced Insider Trading Lawsuit
Jed York was previously named in an insider trading lawsuit.
This isn't York's first run in with the law.
In 2023, he was named in an insider trading lawsuit connected to his position on the board of Chegg, the Santa Clara-based education technology company, per The New York Post.
The lawsuit accused York and other company insiders of selling Chegg shares before investors were fully informed about allegations surrounding the platform's use by students to obtain real-time answers during exams.
The complaint alleged York sold 20,000 shares and earned approximately $1.4 million.
York rejected the allegations, describing the lawsuit as "completely frivolous" and denying any wrongdoing.
It was later resolved through a $55 million settlement.
Jed York's Family History
Jed York became the 49er's president in 2008.
York is the majority owner of the San Francisco 49ers, becoming team president in 2008 after joining the family-owned franchise.
He has two sons, Jaxon and Brixton, with his wife, Danielle Belluomini.
The 49ers owner was born and raised in Youngstown, OH. He was arrested in East Palestine, which is about 30 minutes south.
His grandfather Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. made his fortune with the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation, which became the largest shopping mall builder in the USA by 1982.
