Adele Explains Divorce To 9-Year-Old Son Angelo In Heartbreaking Conversation Shared On New Song Off Of '30', 'My Little Love'
Get the tissues ready: Adele has finally released her brand new album, 30.
The new record — which features her hit single “Easy on Me” that dropped last month — is her first album following her divorce from Simon Konecki.
As if the Grammy winner’s music wasn’t emotional enough, she included a track on her latest album that involves her 9-year-old son Angelo.
In the song “My Little Love,” the 33-year-old hitmaker shared a heartbreaking conversation she has with her only child in a recording embedded in the track. "Tell me you love me," Adele tells her son, as the young boy responds, "I love you a million."
“Mommy’s been having a lot of big feelings recently,” the singer says a few moments later. “I feel a bit confused.”
When Angelo asks her why, she explains, “I feel like I don’t really know what I’m doing.”
In another break in the song, the “Rolling In the Deep” singer explains, “I love your dad ‘cause he gave you to me. You’re half me and you’re half daddy.”
Adele ends the song by sharing a glimpse into her emotions in the wake of her split: "I'm having a very anxious day. Very paranoid. I feel very stressed. I have a hangover, which never helps, but. I feel like today is the first day since I .. feel lonely."
"And I never feel lonely. I love being on my own. Always prefer being on my own than being with people," she continues. "I've been overcompensating, being out and stuff like that to keep my mind off of it and I feel like today I'm home, and I want to be home, I just want to watch TV. Curl up in a ball and be in my sweats and stuff like that, but I feel very lonely. I feel a bit frightened."

It is unclear when the recording of the conversation took place — or how old Angelo was at the time.
Adele and Konecki, 47, revealed that they would be ending their marriage in April 2019, although it wasn’t finalized until earlier this year.
Fans have been mesmerized by Adele since she returned to the music world with "Easy on Me" in October. She previously revealed that the album’s lead single was inspired by her divorce.
“I mean obviously, I bawled my eyes out when I was writing it and when I was singing it, you know, for the recording and stuff like that,” she previously said. “But there’s an element of hope in it, which in turn gave me hope.”
“Hopefully it will encourage people to acknowledge how they’re feeling which I feel like we are all encouraged not to do,” she said.
As OK! previously revealed, the “Hello” singer explained that her marriage faded away slowly, saying: “It just wasn’t right for me anymore. I didn’t want to end up like a lot of other people I knew.”
“I wasn’t miserable miserable, but I would have been miserable had I not put myself first,” she added.
The singer has since moved on with boyfriend Rich Paul, who she recently called “the man of her dreams.”
