Alex Rodriguez's Rep Shuts Down Kelly Bensimon Romance Rumors After An Insider Claims They Have A 'Cute And Flirty Text Relationship'
It seems that Alex Rodriquez and Kelly Bensimon are not an item after all.
The saga began when an insider told Page Six that the 46-year-old and the former Real Housewives of New York City star have "a cute and flirty text relationship." "Alex has asked her out more than once although she has not gone on a date with him," the insider spilled.
"They’ve been having a fun text relationship for the last couple of months," the 53-year-old's rep told the publication. "She thinks he is charming and a gentleman."
"They have mutual friends and she has been talking to him about real estate," the rep added.
However, the former baseball shortstop's representative had something else to say. "[Kelly] reached out on a real estate opportunity and that is it," the rep told E! News. "There are no flirty texts, there is nothing there."
"A lot of people reach out to him for business purposes. Mr. Rodriguez is laser-focused on running Arod Corp, Timberwolves and being a present father for his daughters," the rep added.

An insider also told the publication that they "100 percent" know the business man is not romantically involved with the real estate agent but noted they were unsure about the texting rumors.
There has been heavy speculation about Rodriguez's love life following his split from Jennifer Lopez earlier this year. In April, the pair announced they had called off their engagement.
"We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so," the former flames said at the time. "We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects."
The split came after rumors circulated alleging that the former baseball pro was messaging Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy. The reality star told Page Six that he never "physically cheated" on Lopez with her.
The "Hit The Floor" singer later reconnected with her ex-fiancé Ben Affleck.
