Actress and model Andie MacDowell stole the show with her stunning salt and pepper hair at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. The 63-year-old embraced her age by going against her team's wishes of dying her hair, and hit the red carpet confident in her gray curls.

The Groundhog Day actress attended the 74th Cannes Film Festival Annette premiere and opening Ceremony wearing a stunning beaded, empire-waist gown by Prada, accentuated with black, white and gray embellishments at the waistline and silver accessories — matching perfectly with her salt and pepper head of hair.

MacDowell previously spoke to Vogue about the decision to keep her natural hair color, quoting, “My managers had actually said to me, ‘It’s not time [to go gray]. And I said, ‘I think you’re wrong, and I’m going to be more powerful if I embrace where I am right now. It’s time because in two years I’m going to be 65. If I don’t do it now, I won’t have the chance to be salt and pepper. I always wanted to be salt and pepper!”

MacDowell continued to explain, “Once I did it, it was just so clear to me that my instincts were right because I’ve never felt more powerful. I feel more honest. I feel like I’m not pretending. I feel like I’m embracing right where I am. I feel really comfortable. And in a lot of ways, I think it’s more striking on my face. I just feel like it suits me.” The mom-of-three — who shares Justin Qualley, 35, Rainey Qualley, 31, and Margaret Qualley, 26, with ex-husband and former model Paul Qualley — looked happier than ever showcasing her true authentic self on the red carpet in Cannes.

The gray-haired goddess decided to keep her salt and pepper accents going into the second day of the festival at the screening of Tout S'est Bien Passe (Everything Went Fine) wearing a stunning, shimmering Versace gown that was covered in speckled silver sequins.
