If there's one thing Anya Taylor-Joy knows how to do, it's get into character.
The Queen's Gambit breakout star stunned on the streets of New York City while filming a Tiffany & Co. campaign on Wednesday, April 14. She and fellow model Alton Mason, 23, played a fashionable couple as they walked down the busy streets of midtown.
Donning an elegant, all-black ensemble, Taylor-Joy looked nothing like the young orphan she portrayed in the Netflix miniseries, which became the streaming service's most-watched scripted limited series last November.
In the highly praised show — which won a Golden Globe Award for Best Miniseries or Television Film — Taylor-Joy plays protagonist Beth Harmon, a chess prodigy who discovers she has a preternatural ability to play the game and goes on to take the competition world by storm in the 1960s.
While Queen's Gambit fans know her as the red-headed chess master, Taylor-Joy proves she can make jaws drop without reaching checkmate in record time.
