Bill Gates Was Ordered To Stop Sending Flirty Emails To Female Staffer At Microsoft During Marriage To Melinda Gates: Report
Nearly two months after Bill and Melinda Gates divorce was finalized, reports are surfacing of alleged inappropriate actions on behalf of the ex-Microsoft boss.
The billionaire was reportedly ordered by two top executives at the company to stop sending emails to a female staffer he was wooing at the company.
The emails in 2008 were allegedly sent to a mid-level employee at Microsoft, reported Daily Mail, and were later uncovered by executives. The computer giant’s lawyers at the time, Brad Smith and Lisa Brummel, called a meeting with the then-CEO to tell him to stop communicating inappropriately with the staffer.
Gates reportedly offered to meet the unidentified woman outside of work and off Microsoft property. Microsoft spokesperson, Frank Shaw, noted the emails “while flirtatious, they were not overtly sexual, but were deemed to be inappropriate.”
Bill — who has an estimated net worth of $130 billion — announced he and Melinda, 57, were going their separate ways in May after 27 years of marriage.
“After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the 65-year-old wrote in a joint statement posted on Twitter. “We no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives.”

The former flames — who share daughters Jennifer, 25, and Phoebe, 19, and son Rory, 22 — were spotted together in public for the first time since their split at their eldest child’s nuptials over the weekend.
Jennifer tied the knot with her equestrian beau Nayel Nassar on Saturday, October 16, in upstate New York.
The Stanford grad announced her engagement to the millionaire show jumper last year. “Nayel Nassar, you are one of a kind. Absolutely swept me off my feet this past weekend, surprising me in the most meaningful location over one of our many shared passions,” she captioned a snap of the lovebirds via Instagram on January 29, 2020. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing and loving together. Yes a million times over. 💍AHHH!!!”
