Order In The Court! Blac Chyna Planning To Appeal Kardashian Verdict, Spills Lawyer
Just when we thought the drama was over, Blac Chyna's lawyer revealed her client is planning to appeal her defamation case against the Kardashian-Jenner family after suffering a major loss in the headline-making trial.
After the verdict was read on Monday, May 2, Chyna's attorney Lynne Ciani spoke to reporters outside the courtroom, revealing: ”Two things. Number one, the jury found that Chyna had not physically abused Rob Kardashian," and, "Number two, the jury found that all four defendants intentionally interfered with [Chyna’s] contracts with the E! Network. We will appeal the remainder of the verdict."

The social media personality sued Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Kylie Jenner for more than $100 million claiming they were responsible for getting her and Rob's MTV series, Rob & Chyna, canceled from the E! network shortly after the former couple's explosive 2016 fight. (Rob claimed that during the fight in question, the mother of his 5-year-old daughter, Dream, held a gun up to his head twice, used a metal pole to beat him and strangled him with an iPhone cord.)

Though the famous family maintained they didn't pressure the network executives and producers to ax the second season of Rob & Chyna — with Khloé admitting on the stand that the family considered canceling their own series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, if the coparents' show continued — the jury found the family's actions were not justified with respect to Chyna’s “contractual relationship” with the E! Network.
Nevertheless, the 12-member jury concluded the Kardashian-Jenners shouldn't be held liable in Chyna’s defamation claims and didn't have to pay her damages for her loss of income and future earnings.

Kim — who was dropped from the suit on Friday, April 29 —Khloé, Kris and Kylie were not in attendance when the verdict was being read, as they were in New York City for the 2022 Met Gala.
Michael Rhodes, One of the Kardashian-Jenners' attorneys, said he spoke to the family after the verdict was read, noting per Page Six: “They were very pleased, very grateful. They were emphatic in their explicit expression of pleasure. I got to know them quite well over the last few years, and as you know, they’re exuberant."
