Blake Lively is giving fans a peek at the very real moments that happen before she steps out looking completely put together.
The actress recently took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes clips showing how she gets ready, and the process was anything but overly complicated.
In one video, Lively applied makeup with a brush while wearing a casual denim shirt over a darker top. With her hair pulled back, she focused on finishing her look while seemingly juggling everything else on her plate.

Blake Lively shared a behind-the-scenes look at her makeup and hair routine in a candid GRWM video.
Text across the video captured the reality of trying to get ready while raising a family: “The look: No time but need to look cute while ALSO raising children …”
Once her makeup was done, Lively moved on to her hair. She used a styling tool to curl her long blonde locks, keeping the ends loose for a more relaxed finish.
The final step, however, was something many people could relate to. After seemingly wrapping up her beauty routine, Lively realized she had forgotten one tiny detail before heading out.
“Buttoning your pants is always a nice touch,” she wrote over the clip.
Lively Calls for 'Kindness' After Hayden Panettiere's Death

Blake Lively joked that she nearly forgot to button her pants before finishing her look.
Lively's lighthearted GRWM post comes after she shared a more serious message following the death of actress Hayden Panettiere.
On Monday, August 17, the Gossip Girl alum took to her Instagram Stories to remember Panettiere and Michelle Trachtenberg, who died a little over a year apart. The actresses previously appeared together in the 2005 Disney movie Ice Princess.
“Be. Kind. You never know what others are going through,” Lively wrote over a compilation of scenes featuring the two actresses.
“Thank you to both these women for all the joy you brought so many,” she continued.
Lively also had a close connection to Trachtenberg through Gossip Girl. The actresses played Georgina Sparks and Serena van der Woodsen, respectively, on the hit series.

Remembering Hayden Panettiere

Blake Lively called on her followers to ‘be kind’ after the deaths of Hayden Panettiere and Michelle Trachtenberg.
Panettiere, known for her roles on Heroes and Nashville, died on Sunday, August 16, at 36 years old.
A representative for the actress confirmed her death in a statement to ABC News.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her -- and to the millions who watched her onscreen," the spokesperson said.
Her death came roughly a year and a half after Trachtenberg died at 39.
Trachtenberg was found unresponsive in her New York City apartment on February 26, 2025. Two months later, the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that she died from complications of diabetes mellitus, ruling her death natural.
According to a source, Trachtenberg had undergone a liver transplant before her death.
Lively's Emotional Tribute to Trachtenberg

Hayden Panettiere died on August 16 at age 36, while Michelle Trachtenberg died in February 2025 at age 39.
Following Trachtenberg's death, Lively remembered her former costar as a "kind person, through and through."
"Time passes. You take for granted that you get the chance to see an old friend. To paraphrase, the real tragedies in life are the ones that blindside you on an idle Tuesday," she stated. "Hold those you love and have loved dear. The world lost a deeply sensitive and good person in Michelle. May her work and her huge heart be remembered by those who were lucky enough to experience her fire."
