Britney Spears' Ex Jason Alexander Says He's 'Always Going To Love Her', Claims The Two Still Talk Amid Engagement To Sam Asghari
Britney Spears' ex-husband Jason Alexander has opened up about her engagement to Sam Asghari.
In an exclusive sit down interview with Inside Edition that will air Tuesday, September 14, Spears' childhood sweetheart spoke with Jim Moret about his ex-wife's exciting news and where their current friendship stands.
When the 39-year-old was asked when the last time he spoke to the pop star was, Alexander claimed, “On the way over here. She’s great. She’s good, she’s mentally stable, she’s fine.”
Alexander also gave his thoughts on the "Toxic" singer's new fiancée. When asked if he believed the personal trainer was in the relationship for the right reasons, the Louisiana native explained, “I’m trying to be as nice as I can. He’s really the only person that’s been around for a few years, so without him she would’ve been alone.”
“I’ve always loved her. I’m always going to love her," he explained. "If she’s happy with Sam and that’s going to happen, I’m happy for her."

During the one-on-one, Alexander even attempted to give Spears a call, but he said that the singer "couldn't talk" at the moment.
Additionally, when asked about his January 6th 2021 trip to Washington to “stop the steal”, he stated that he "didn’t even get close” to the Capital building.
Alexander and Spears married in a Las Vegas ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel back in 2004 before the Crossroads actress' mother, Lynne Spears, had the union annulled a mere 55 hours later.
As OK! previously reported, Spears announced on Sunday, September 12, via her Instagram that her beau of four years popped the question. "I can’t f—ing believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!," the mother-of-two captioned a series of pictures of her shiny new sparkler along with snaps of her and her man.
