As Britney Spears' conservatorship nightmare finally comes to an end, the pop star's lawyer promises that his client will be safe and taken care of in the future.
Powerhouse attorney Mathew Rosengart told the court there is currently a "safety net in place for Britney's finances and personal care," following up his statement to the judge adding, "the time has come today to end the conservatorship."
During the momentous hearing on Friday, November 12, the Hollywood legal mind stated firmly, "I don't want to bury the lede — we believe the conservatorship as a practical matter should end today."
"Our position was that termination was appropriate," he went on. "But we wanted to put into place a safety net, both on the financial side and on the personal side, and true [to] our word papers were submitted to the court by Ms. Wright on behalf of Miss Montgomery in terms of termination care plan."
Later that day, Judge Brenda Penny ruled to permanently end the oppressive, 13-year conservatorship effective immediately.
