Britney Spears' Dad Made Men 'Submit a Blood Test' Before Dating Her: 'The Whole Thing Was Humiliating'
While the first stages of a flirtatious relationship are usually exciting, Britney Spears had a very different experience.
In her tell-all memoir, The Woman in Me, which released on Tuesday, October 24, the pop star revealed all men had to "submit a blood test" before they were allowed to go on a date with her.
"When someone wanted to date me, the security team who answered to my father would run a background check on him, make him sign an NDA and even have him submit to a blood test," Spears detailed in her bombshell book.
Before a date, the "Circus" singer said Robin Greenhill, an employee of Spears' spokesperson Lou Taylor, "would tell the man my medical and sexual history. To be clear: this was before the first date."
"The whole thing was humiliating, and I know the insanity of this system kept me from finding basic companionship, having a fun night out, or making new friends — let alone falling in love," noted the 41-year-old — who also opened up about her two most serious failed relationships, which led her to a downward spiral of mental health issues and being placed under her father Jamie's control.
Spears' ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake was one of the main subjects of the memoir.
The "Toxic" singer revealed several secrets from their rocky past — which involved both stars allegedly cheating and the songstress having an abortion after getting pregnant with the *NSYNC frontman's child.

Spears confessed to making out with choreographer Wade Robson inside of a Spanish bar while she was dating Timberlake, who she claimed was also unfaithful with another female celeb, though she opted not to name her since she now has a family of her own.
In the memoir, the mom-of-two additionally recalled the start of her relationship with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, insisting she had "no idea" he had his second baby on the way with Shar Jackson at the time their romance began.

She also accused Federline of trying to "convince everyone that I was completely out of control" when Spears developed postpartum depression after birthing their two sons, Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17. "He started to say I shouldn’t have my kids anymore — at all."
Spears and Federline divorced in 2007 after three years of marriage, and by 2008, the pop sensation's 13-year abusive conservatorship had begun.
"I used to trust people," Spears reflected in her new book. "But after the breakup with Justin and then my divorce, I never really did trust people again. … Looking back, I think that both Justin and Kevin were very clever. They knew what they were doing, and I played right into it. So I was young, and I made a lot of mistakes. But I will say this: I wasn’t manipulative. I was just stupid."
