Addressing her name being mentioned in the files in a video shared by Vulture of a Q&A session for RHONY hosted by Andy Cohen, she said, “Me and many, many, many more people found our names in these files, and it’s not something I shy away from because I think really it’s important to talk about it.”

Carole Radziwill opened up about her name being mentioned in the Epstein files.
While it's an issue that will be a hot topic on the upcoming Season 16 of The Real Housewives of New York City, Radziwill said, “It’s important to be transparent.”
She was notably a friend of Jeffrey Epstein's co-conspirator in his s-- trafficking operation, Ghislaine Maxwell.
Maxwell even shot the author’s photo for Radziwill’s 2007 memoir, What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love.
Their connection was brought up in the trailer for RHONY Season 16.

Carole Radziwill said 'it's important to be transparent' while addressing her name in the Epstein files.
During the session, Radziwill said, “Obviously I didn’t know anything as no one, you know, 20 years ago would have known anything.”
At the same time, she added that it’s “hard also” to grapple with the idea “that someone you knew that long ago and even called a friend at some point was a horrible, horrible person doing horrible things.”
“At first, I was really nervous, but I just think it’s an opportunity to talk about it,” Radziwill admitted.
She continued, “There’s real victims and survivors that were brave enough to really stand up to these very, very powerful people. So, you know, not to be a downer, though.”

Radziwill Talked About Her Friendship with Ghislaine Maxwell

Carole Radziwill opened up about her friendship with Ghislaine Maxwell, adding that she didn't know Jeffrey Epstein personally.
In an interview with The New York Times earlier this year, Radziwill reflected on her years-long relationship with Maxwell.
"Imagine knowing someone… and then they turn out to be, like, a monster," she said, adding, "I was friends with her in the early 2000s, I don’t know, like, for five or six years."
Expressing shock at Maxwell's crimes and emphasizing that she did not strike her as someone capable of such behavior, Radziwill revealed, "The thing about her that made it easy for me to spend any time with her at all was that she was very intelligent, she was educated."

Carole Radziwill said Ghislaine Maxwell never struck her as the type to be 'involved in an international s-- trafficking ring.'
"If you lined up 10 women, and you asked, like, pick the woman who would be involved in an international s-- trafficking ring, it would not be her," she continued.
Radziwill even claimed that she had no personal connection to the late s-- offender.
"I never knew Jeffrey Epstein," she clarified.
