Chris Brown sent former girlfriend Rihanna warm wishes after she gave birth to her first child.
On Thursday, May 19, the "Kiss Kiss" rapper took to Instagram to post a "Congratulations" message along with prayer hands, a heart and a pregnant woman emoji following news that the "S.O.S" vocalist welcomed a baby boy with boyfriend A$AP Rocky on Friday, May 13, making the newborn the couple's first kid together.
While he didn't specifically name Rihanna in the post, it's safe to assume his celebratory post was for his ex-girlfriend.
Brown and the new mom dated from 2007 until 2009 when they were both young up-and-comers in the music industry. The former famed pair made headlines in February 2009 after the "Loyal" artist physically assaulted Rihanna on their way home from a pre-Grammys party.
Brown was later charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, according to People. He pled guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years probation and domestic violence counseling for the incident.

As OK! reported, Brown, 32, also recently expanded his own young family, with him celebrating the birth of his third child, Lovely Symphani Brown, earlier this year. He shares his little girl with former (and possibly current) flame Diamond Brown.

Following much speculation, the This Christmas actor confirmed he was in fact the father of the baby girl when he shared a photo of his new bundle of joy to his Instagram Story on Thursday, April 7, alongside several heart emojis. In the photo, Brown's daughter was seen rocking a red Gucci onesie with a red bow on her head along with a plaque that read "three months."
The photo was originally shared by his daughter's mama, who wrote, "I gave you life, but really, you gave me mine. ♥️ HAPPY 3 months my little firecracker!" alongside the sweet snap.
Brown is also a father to 7-year-old daughter Royalty, whom he shares with ex Nia Guzman and 2-year-old Aeko Catori, whom he shares with Ammika Harris.
