Coldplay Takes On The BRIT Awards — See Photos Of Chris Martin & Bandmates Rock Out While Filming On The River Thames

Back with a bang! Coldplay was seen filming their comeback performance ahead of The BRIT Awards on Tuesday, May 11 — and it looked like it was a blast!

Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion have a lot to look forward to, as they will be opening the show next month. In addition, the band is gearing up for the release of their new single, "Higher Power" — their first new song since 2019 — which is set to drop next Friday, May 7. 

“Higher Power is a song that arrived on a little keyboard and a bathroom sink at the start of 2020," the group shared via social media on Thursday, April 29, the same day they filmed their performance for the BRIT Awards. "It was produced by Max Martin who is a true wonder of the universe. It’s out on Friday 7 May. Love c, g, w & j.”

The band pre-recorded their COVID-19-safe performance for The BRIT Awards on the River Thames with fireworks and pyrotechnics.

They were seen filming their latest project ahead of the release of their ninth album, Music Of The Spheres.
