Conor McGregor & Machine Gun Kelly's MTV VMAs Scuffle Allegedly Caused By UFC Champ DM'ing Megan Fox: Report
More to the story? A new report claims that Conor McGregor and Machine Gun Kelly’s dust-up at the MTV 2021 Video Music Awards was over some mysterious alleged direct messages.
Extra reported that Billy Bush spoke with a source close to the situation, who stated that the men’s scuffle was not about MGK rebuffing McGregor’s request for a photo, as previously reported. According to the outlet, the 33-year-old UFC champ and the “Bloody Valentine” rapper, 31, butt heads over alleged DMs McGregor sent to Fox.
It is unclear what the UFC champ, who has been with longtime love Dee Devlin — who he shares Conor Jr., Croia and Rian — since 2008, was messaging Fox about.
As OK! previously reported, the men were snapped in the middle of an altercation on the red carpet at the event. A source told Page Six, the two “got into a fight at the top of the carpet” and “had to be pulled apart.”
However, after their run-in made headlines, McGregor remarked he didn't consider the confrontation to be a fight by any means. "Nothing happened with me. I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean," he told Entertainment Tonight. "I certainly don't fight little vanilla boy rappers."

“I don’t even know the guy,” he continued. “I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”
For his part, when asked by a reporter what went down between him and the MMA fighter, MGK pushed the microphone away as his 35-year-old girlfriend admitted, “We’re not allowed to say.”
Meanwhile, one day after the confrontation, the Jennifer's Body star turned heads at the 2021 Met Gala, where she walked the red carpet solo looking stunning in a Dundas gown.
