Though Ben Shapiro has repeatedly criticized The View, he admitted in a new interview that he would love the chance to appear on the talk show.

The topic came when he appeared on the August 7 installment of Bill O'Reilly's "We'll Do It Live!", where the latter voiced his confusion over why ABC caters to the left.

Bill O'Reilly feels ABC is 'alienating' themselves with left-wing programming.

"What is your accessibility to the mainstream media and and Disney in particular?" O'Reilly asked, claiming the network is "alienating half the country with its radical form of presentation," naming their news programs and shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

"It's all committed left. Can you get on The View or Good Morning America? Would they book you?" he asked Shapiro.

A report said that only five of The View's 87 recent guests shared conservative views on the show.

Media Research Center's new report claimed that from September 2025 to July 2026, 87 of the show's guests were liberal, with only five identifying as conservative.

There were a total of 321 guests during that time frame, but the research only highlighted those who spoke about their political beliefs on an episode.

Bill O'Reilly has appeared on 'The View' in the past.

Disney, ABC's parent company, countered that The View was given a "bona fide news exemption" more than two decades ago.

"The View's exemption remains valid, and the constitutional infirmities in the equal time doctrine are even more pronounced today, when the broadcast airwaves account for a slice of the numerous media options through which Americans get their political information," their statement read. "Indeed, the marketplace of ideas has never been more robust, and people can hear virtually any brand of political commentary by listening to a podcast, watching cable, scrolling social media, or streaming on a phone, computer, or connected TV. The free flow of ideas flourishes on these non-broadcast platforms, even though the equal opportunities rule does not apply there."
