Danielle Staub Claims Melissa Gorga Wanted To Be On 'RHONJ' To 'Expose' Teresa Giudice & 'Get Her Locked Up From Fraud'
Danielle Staub has made a shocking accusation against former Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star Melissa Gorga — and it concerns the 42-year-old's sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice.
In Dave Quinn's Not All Diamonds and Rosé, the 59-year-old claimed that the Envy boutique owner reached out to her prior to being cast on the show in order to bond over their shared difficulties with the Skinny Italian author.
"Melissa blew up my phone constantly during the filming of season 2," Staub alleged in the book. "Every single day she would call me."
"Andy Cohen, [executive producer] Lucilla [D'Agostino] — they knew because I would send them every message and tell them everything Melissa was telling me; how she and Joey [Gorga] wanted me to come out to their house and film with them, how she wanted to expose Teresa and get her locked up from fraud, how she and Joey were going to help me look good," Staub continued.
"They were like, 'Nobody in production will listen to us, we've desperately tried. We want to get a hold of TMZ, but they won't take our calls either because they don't know who we are. We deserve to be famous!'" Staub — who was a full time housewife for the first two seasons and later returned as a 'friend' — recalled. "It just went on and on and on."
Loyal Bravo fans will remember that the "Close To You" singer and Giudice went head to head for the first two seasons of the reality series — with the mom-of-four famously flipping a table over during an argument with Staub in season one.

"I did know my sister-in-law was giving Danielle a hard time, so Danielle and I vented to each other about how difficult Teresa was," Gorga, 42, admitted in the book. "But that's as far as it went."
The Love Italian Style: The Secrets of my Hot and Happy Marriage author and Giudice famously fought after Gorga joined the cast during its third season in 2011. The show captured the division between the family members that often turned into physical brawls.
The "On Display" singer also confessed in Not All Diamonds and Rosé how she and Staub initially sparked up a friendship, noting that the mom-of-two reached out to her after coming across a Facebook post Gorga wrote concerning her infamous argument with her Giudice over sprinkle cookies.
"I didn't say Teresa's name, but Danielle in-boxed me on Facebook and was like 'Hi, I feel so bad about your story. You should come have lunch with me on camera'— you know, thinking I would go on camera and rip my sister-in-law a new one," Gorga claimed.
