Donald Trump tried to get former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to prank-call the latter's little brother, former CNN star Chris Cuomo, from the White House, a new book claims.
In Melissa DeRosa's new memoir, What’s Left Unsaid: My Life at the Center of Power, Politics & Crisis, she spoke about working for Andrew and the antics that ensued.
“What’s Chris’ number?” Trump, 77, allegedly said while picking up the phone in the Oval Office before the two dined together, the tome, which releases on Tuesday, October 24, claims. “Your brother. What’s his number? It would be hilarious if we prank-called him right now.”
Although Andrew's phone was taken by security, he didn't want to get involved, as he said his brother "is busy right now" and he would give him the message another time.
“Oh, come on, it would be so funny!” Trump argued before he gave up. "OK, fine. But, it would have been fun."
“The whole thing felt like I was having an out-of-body experience,” DeRosa shared.
Andrew was in Washington, D.C., to ask for infrastructure funding following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Andrew and Donald used to be pals, but over the years, they have lashed out at one another.
Andrew, who resigned as New York governor in August 2021 after facing a slew of sexual misconduct claims, which he denied, attacked the former president for posting threatening remarks on social media ahead of his indictment in April.
“Donald Trump is out there. He’s waving a baseball bat. He’s threatening death and destruction,” Cuomo said at Mt. Neboh Baptist Church.
“He’s like a character from the old south. He thinks he’s Bull Connor. Your first name is bull. Your last name is not Connor,” Andrew said of Donald, referring to Theophilus Eugene “Bull” Connor, an Alabama politician who opposed the Civil Rights Movement in the '60s.
Andrew also brought up how Donald didn't take the pandemic seriously.
“Do you remember when he tried to turn this nation against us during COVID and make New York the enemy of the nation? He’s nothing but a bully and there’s only one way to deal with a bully: you face them eye-to-eye, toe-to-toe," he fumed. “Mr. Trump, you attacked my brother, you attacked my sister, you attacked me ... So, you bring your hate and division and we will bring love and unity … we are strong in the lord and in the strength of the almighty."
