The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley has opened up on some of the details of her harrowing home invasion that left her begging for her children's lives.

As OK! previously reported, the Bravo personality was reportedly held at gunpoint and robbed by three intruders who broke into the Kemsley's lavish Encino home and made off with at least $100K in valuables.

The fashion designer took to Instagram on Saturday penning a lengthy post thanking friends, fans, and the Los Angeles Police Department for their support throughout the incident she called "terrifying."

“As you all know by now I have been through a terrifying ordeal, one that no parent or person should ever have to experience,” the mother-of-two began. “I’ve received so many messages of love and support and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It’s truly overwhelming.”

The television personality explained that her children — Jagger, 7, and Phoenix, 5 — were thankfully "unaware of what happened" because they were sound asleep at the time of the break-in. "They slept through it and I thank God for keeping my kids and myself from being physically harmed."

The 45-year-old also added that she is ready to "start the healing process" and for her, part of that is getting straight back into her work. "I have thrown myself into work as I want our family to return to normality as soon as possible," she wrote.

"With the love and support of my husband, my incredible family, friends, fans and followers, I am confident this is the right thing to do whilst I independently work through the trauma," she continued. "I’m so grateful to the LAPD for their care and attention. Thank you again for all your support."

"More than anything, I’m feeling blessed that my kids and family are safe," she captioned the post. "Truly grateful for the messages of love and support from you all who have reached out."
