Are ya ready, Upper East Siders? Gossip Girl fans are no doubt getting excited as the cast of the upcoming HBO Max reboot continues to film, and OK! has all the latest photos from set.
On Monday, April 5, cast members including Jordan Alexander, Whitney Peak, Savannah Smith and Zion Moreno, among others, were snapped soaking up the sun in New York City as the cameras continued to roll.
As OK! exclusively revealed, the highly anticipated reboot of the cult favorite — which originally saw Leighton Meester and Blake Lively as frenemies Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen — will have 12 episodes in its first season.
Are you an OG fan thinking you’re too old to enjoy its 2021 reincarnation? Think again. OK! revealed that you may see some familiar faces as well as some super-star drop-ins. “We’re trying to have cameos in every episode,” showrunner Joshua Safran, writer and executive producer on the original CW series, told OK!.
HBO Max also confirmed that the beloved narrator, Kristen Bell, will take part in the series.

Savannah Smith and Zion Moreno took a break from shooting scenes to smile (and smize!) for the camera.
Though many around the world haven't been able to hug their loved ones, the Gossip Girl cast and crew are taking extra precautions on set, with regular testing and various protocols in place. “It’s [set] post-COVID in a fantasy world,” Safran told OK!. “Masks are a thing that happened in the past.”
Keeping fashion first, Eric Daman, who previously designed the costumes, is back for the reboot.
