Now that Gwen Stefani is officially married to longtime beau Blake Shelton, the No Doubt singer’s baby daddy is marking his territory when it comes to their three sons. Just one day after Stefani tied the knot, Gavin Rossdale seemingly sent a clear message to the happy couple — and we’re not talking about a wedding card with well wishes.
In a picture posted to Instagram celebrating the Fourth of July, the British rocker made it known who’s boss when it comes to Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 7.
“Happy 4th we going this way 🖤,” the 55-year-old dad captioned a sweet snap on the beach alongside his boys as the four watched the waves crash along the shoreline.
According to OK! sources, Rossdale wants to sit down for a man-to-man convo with the kids’ new stepdad now that Stefani and Shelton are officially husband and wife.
“Gavin wants to lay down some ground rules,” spilled an insider. “He’s gotten ticked off at Blake in the past for seemingly overstepping his bounds, and is ready to make it clear he has final authority with the boys.”

Things quickly went downhill for Rossdale and Stefani after the Bush frontman was accused of cheating on the “Hollaback Girl” singer with their children’s nanny. Stefani filed for divorce from Rossdale in 2015, citing irreconcilable differences.
“Gavin would like to say his piece sooner rather than later,” the OK! source added. “Gavin may still be on rocky terms with Gwen, but he’ll always be a part of those boys’ lives.”
Meanwhile, Stefani and Shelton seem to be on Cloud Nine since saying their “I dos” on Saturday, July 3. The pair officially tied the knot on the country singer’s Oklahoma ranch over the holiday weekend — and since then, the 45-year-old songstress has been sharing beautiful shots of her big day with the 51-year-old on Instagram.
“July 3rd 2021 dreams do come true !!!” she captioned a stunning wedding shot, as the sun set on the newlyweds, on Instagram. “❤️🙏🏻 @blakeshelton i love you.”
Stefani and Shelton have been together for six years; the couple got engaged in October 2020. “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!” the “God's Country” crooner wrote on Instagram at the time of their engagement.
