Officially a family of four! Glee alum Matthew Morrison and his wife Renee have welcomed their second child, a daughter, Phoenix Monroe Morrison.
“We rise! Our family is now complete. Welcome, Phoenix Monroe!” the happy parents told PEOPLE.
The couple's new bundle of joy was born Monday, June 28 at 12:08 p.m., weighing 7 lbs, 1.05 oz and measuring 21 inches long, following a series of devastating miscarriages, according to the outlet.
"Seeing her come into her power as a woman has been, I think, transformational for our whole family," the American Horror Story: 1984 actor gushed to the outlet about his wife. "She is such a leader and really just creating these movements and stuff with her speaking and really trying to empower other women and talking about things that a lot of women go through but are scared to talk about it, like miscarriage."
The 42-year-old actor and his wife announced in April they were expecting baby No. 2. “Baby loading,” the TV star captioned a video via Instagram Story of himself singing along to his former Glee costar Darren Criss’ jam “F**kin Around.”
The duo began dating in 2001 and tied the knot in October 2014. They also share three-year-old son Revel James Makai.
Before baby Phoenix's arrival, Morrison gushed about his pregnant wife via Instagram. "It's just wild! Watching this woman whom I love more than anything, growing a human being!," he wrote on Wednesday, June 9. "I’m in awe of the peace that she embodies with every kick, every cramp. We have talked to Revel, consistently, about being a big brother and he is reeling with excitement."
The new mom-of-two certainly didn't let her pregnancy slow her down, as OK! recently shared pics of the pair meeting up with friend Julianne Hough in Tulum. The American Horror Story star and his wife were in Mexico for a relaxing babymoon on April 28 when they ran into the Dancing With The Stars alum vacationing with some pals.
