Fans were in for an emotional season finale of the Bachelor in Paradise.

The culmination of BiP's seventh season — which aired on Tuesday, October 5 — began with a bang when Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb (who seemed like one of the strongest couples) announced they had called it quits. The pair left Mexico separately.

Things got even more intense when bartender and host Wells Adams announced there wouldn't be a cocktail party and that the contestants would be going straight into the rose ceremony instead.

Joe Amabile began the rose ceremony by giving his to Serena Pitt. Riley Christian followed by giving Maurissa Gunn his rose. Kenny Braasch gave Mari Pepin a rose, while Becca Kufrin received one from Thomas Jacobs. James Bonsall gave Anna Redman a rose and Aaron Clancy offered his rose to Tia Booth. Ed Waisbrot asked Mykenna Dorn to remain in Paradise with him.

Natasha Parker and Chelsea Vaughn were sent home. However, the finale still had more casualties in store.

While Kufrin and Jacobs split up, the post-credit update revealed that they started dating again after the show ended.

Despite receiving a rose from Waisbrot, Dorn felt that the pair did not have a future together and they left separately.

Redman wanted to see Bonsall after the reality show, but the hunk couldn't see them developing a deeper connection. Redman said she felt "blindsided" by Bonsall.

While Bonsall left the beach single, he asked his pal Clancy to head to San Diego with him. Clancy agreed to leave the show with Bonsall and broke up with Booth.

"You're kidding," Booth said in an interview about the sudden split. "This is a joke."

While Braasch was initially concerned about the 15-year age gap between him and Pepin, he told her that he loved her. Pepin said she felt the same. He said he was worried that she would "miss out" on "being single in her 20s and 30s" if they got engaged, but she assured her beau that she wanted to get married young.

The 40-year-old proposed to Pepin after their overnight date. They left the beach together and are reportedly still engaged.

Christian was hesitant to propose to Gunn but later popped the question. Gunn said yes and the pair are reportedly still engaged.

As Amabile was getting ready to pop the question to Pitt, his ex-girlfriend Kendall Long arrived in an attempt to get some closure. She congratulated her ex on his new romance. When Pitt arrived, Amabile told her about Long's appearance but said that it made him even more confident about their relationship.

Amabile popped the question and Pitt said yes.
