Helen Mirren doubled down on her support of Tom Hardy amid rumors of on-set tension on MobLand.
"What you want is what's on the screen, or what’s on the stage, to be great," Mirren, 81, said in an interview with The Radio Times. "And the only way to do that is for everyone to feel that they can be free to create and explore and experiment and f--- up."

Helen Mirren has vocally defended Tom Hardy several times in the past.
As OK! previously reported, rumors began circulating in May about drama on the Paramount+ show involving Hardy, 48, and the show's creators.
At the time, Mirren publicly supported the Venom actor, posting a photo of Hardy on her Instagram with the words, "Love you now and always, Helen." She also stated that she would work with him again in a "heartbeat."
Helen Mirren 'Separates' Herself From Rumors
Helen Mirren explained that she tries not to 'contribute' to media speculation about on-set tension.
"You do learn certain things as you get older, about how to work with people, really," Mirren explained during her latest interview. "What you learn is every single person is different; every single person has their own way of doing things. There’s not one way, there’s a million different ways."
When asked how she dealt with the media speculation about behind-the-scenes tension on MobLand, she replied, "I separate myself from all of that. I don’t read it. I don’t look at it. I don’t contribute to it."

Tom Hardy's 'MobLand' Return Was Confirmed
Tom Hardy's 'MobLand' return was confirmed on September 3.
Mirren's comments came on the same day that Hardy's return for Season 3 of the series was confirmed.
Hardy's fate was initially unclear after multiple outlets reported in May that the Inception star would not return to the show following alleged clashes with producers while filming its sophomore season.
At the time, sources told TMZ that there was a "good chance" that Hardy wouldn't return, though the door was not "totally shut."
Tom Hardy Allegedly Would 'Refuse to Come Out of His Trailer'
Tom Hardy allegedly had clashes on-set during Season 2 of 'MobLand.'
Hardy reportedly had been clashing with producers, with additional allegations emerging about his behavior on set.
"He refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time," a source told The Hollywood Reporter on May 27 about Hardy’s on-set behavior on season two. "He kept the cast waiting, [which is] a power play. Keeping Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others waiting is career suicide, I would wager."
