'Insecure' Star Issa Rae Reveals She Married Longtime Love Louis Diame In South Of France
Surprise! Issa Rae announced she secretly got married to Louis Diame in the South of France over the weekend.
The Insecure star, 36, posted a series of gorgeous snaps via Instagram on Monday, July 26, of her big day.
"A) Impromptu photo shoot in a custom @verawang dress,” she teased. "B) My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were sooooo embarrassed. C) Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband.”
She continued: “Big thanks to @whiteedenweddings for being so gracious and accommodating and making this feel so real and special.”
Famous friends and fans gushed over the stunning bride, flooding her comments section with praise. “Gorgeous 😍 congratulations queen!!, superstar singer SZA wrote, while Greys Anatomy alum Kelly McCreary commented: “ISSAAAA OMG!!! The wedding planning company shared a pic of the duo. “Thank you so much @issarae for trusting us and being the most wonderful bride! It has been such an honor to plan & design your wedding on the Riviera,” they captioned a photo of the newlyweds on Monday. “You guys are the loveliest, beautiful inside and outside and we couldn’t be happier for you.”
Rae shined in her custom Vera Wang gown that perfectly contrasted her hunky husband's red crushed velvet tux.
Rae and Diame have reportedly been together for years. Although she sparked rumors of an engagement in 2019 after she appeared on the cover of Essence magazine sporting a massive ring and rocking white dress, she never fully confirmed the news.
Although Rae’s fictional love life plays out on the HBO show Insecure, she prefers to keep her personal life under the radar. “I don’t want any input,” Rae explained to Vogue in 2018. “As a writer, you put everything on the table. I’ll take input on kids if I’m going to have kids. How do I not kill the kids? Work? Give me the input. Any other aspect of my life? Give me the input. But who I’m f*cking? No, I don’t need input. I’m good.”
