Jennifer Aniston Addresses Relationship With Former 'Friends' Costar David Schwimmer Following Romance Rumors
Jennifer Aniston has set the record straight.
The Morning Show star finally addressed the romance rumors concerning her and David Schwimmer that began swirling around last month.
Friends fans were hopeful that their favorite TV couple were taking their love offstage following a report from Closer magazine that claimed the two former costars were apparently “spending time together” back in August.
At the time, a representative for Schwimmer shut down the false claims, insisting there was “no truth” to the rumors — and now Aniston is breaking her silence on the matter.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the “Just Go With It” actress confirmed that her relationship with Schwimmer is not romantic, no matter how much their fans wish it was.
“That was bizarre,” Aniston said of the rumors.
“I could not believe that, actually. Like, really? That’s my brother,” she told the outlet. “But I understand it, though. It just shows you how hopeful people are for fantasies, for dreams to come true.”

However, the pair — who portrayed Rachel Green and Ross Gellar, respectively, on the NBC series — did recently admit to having feelings for each other in the past.
During the Friends: The Reunion special — which aired on HBO Max back in May — Schwimmer rattled fans as he confessed to having a crush on his on-screen girlfriend while filming.
“The first season, I had a major crush on Jen,” he said. “At some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing, because one of us was always in a relationship.”
Aniston also chimed in during the cast’s sit-down with James Corden, confirming that she felt the same way at the time.
“I remember saying at one point to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time we actually kiss is...on national television!' Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop,” she revealed, referring to Central Perk.
Schwimmer also confirmed that the pair never acted on their feelings for each other: “We never crossed that boundary."
“We just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel,” Aniston added.
