Jennifer Aniston's Friends Still Not 'Sold' on Her Boyfriend Jim Curtis After 1 Year of Dating, Source Spills: 'They Worry He Could Be an Opportunist'

Jennifer Aniston's inner circle isn't fully on board with her boyfriend, Jim Curtis, even after a year together.

"Some of Jen’s friends aren’t totally sold on Jim yet," a source recently spilled.

"They worry he could be an opportunist and feel like he can come off a bit performative," the insider told Page Six. "Everybody adores Jen and just wants the best for her because she absolutely deserves the world."

However, they shared, "At the end of the day, if she’s happy, then of course they’re happy for her, but they’re also really protective of her and don’t ever want to see her get taken advantage of."

"Some of them are just having a difficult time fully trusting him right now," the source claimed.

However, not all of The Morning Show actress' friends are skeptical of Curtis.

A separate insider told the news outlet that other people in her inner circle have embraced the relationship and think the couple is a great match.

"Others absolutely adore Jim and feel like he fits in seamlessly with their circle of friends," the source shared.

The insider continued, "They haven’t seen Jen this happy in a long time and think Jen and Jim complement each other on so many levels."

According to the insider, Aniston's pals "couldn’t be happier for her" and wish her and Curtis "nothing but the best."

Curtis got candid about the pair in a recent interview.

“It’s going really well,” Curtis shared when asked about the relationship.

He added, "My experience of her is so grounded and so open and caring and kind and loving."

He also opened up about the actress’ close-knit circle, calling them a "group of best friends that are like family...I feel incredibly blessed to be part of and welcomed into that family and I feel blessed to be in a relationship with someone that is so open-hearted."

The 57-year-old Friends star and the 50-year-old hypnotist first sparked romance rumors in July 2025 after they were seen together on an intimate vacation in Mallorca.

Aniston went official with their relationship on Instagram in November 2025 with a birthday tribute to Curtis, sharing a black-and-white photo of herself embracing him and referring to him as her "love."

Since then, the pair have gradually become more public, with Curtis accompanying Aniston to the 2025 ELLE Women in Hollywood Celebration and spending time with her famous group of friends.
