Joe Scarborough had harsh criticism for the GOP after an investigation revealed that Donald Trump and his family have made at least $2.3 billion since the start of his second presidential term.
"With the sons and with Donald Trump and with the money that they're making right now, we're talking billions and billions of dollars straight into their pockets," Scarborough, 63, said during the Thursday, August 20, broadcast of Morning Joe. "It's pure corruption."
Joe Scarborough discussed the situation on 'Morning Joe.'
'Most Corrupt Administration'

Joe Scarborough claimed Republicans were doing 'absolutely nothing' and allowing 'corruption' in the White House.
The segment kicked off with a montage of elected officials expressing outrage over alleged corruption within the Biden family, starkly contrasting their refusal to discuss the Trumps' business dealings.
Scarborough claimed the massive influx of money was "impacting the decisions that Donald Trump was making in the White House."
"These Republicans are saying absolutely nothing," he continued. "I think it may be corruption and that these Republicans are sitting by and allowing this to be the most corrupt administration in the history of America."
Joe Scarborough Blasted the GOP's 'Hyprocrisy'

Joe Scarborough claimed his 'MAGA-adjacent friends' were upset about Hunter Biden's 'talking business' on Air Force Two 'for years.'
The TV star blasted the GOP's "hypocrisy," as Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden was attacked over his alleged business dealings while his father was in office.
"I had MAGA-adjacent friends that melted down for years over whether Hunter Biden flew on Air Force Two and talked business on Air Force Two," he told viewers. "These sort of things are quaint compared to the defense contracts, the mining deals."
Joe continued, "Everybody is so numb to the fact that Donald Trump is bringing in people to the White House, talking up their products, then you find out he’s invested in their companies."

Hunter Biden Was Criticized

Hunter Biden was accused of capitalizing on the Biden name while his father served as vice president.
Hunter faced serious criticism for serving on a Ukrainian energy board and co-founding a Chinese private equity fund while his father served as vice president from 2009 to 2017.
Hunter was accused of capitalizing on the Biden name, though the former president has maintained he never interceded in his son's overseas ventures.
Donald Trump Said He Was Profiting Because the 'Stock Market's Going Up'

Donald Trump claimed his fortune was growing because the stock market was 'going up.'
Reuters reported in June that the Trump family has earned $2.3 billion from crypto with "little to no risk," while other investors have lost $2.3 billion since the end of April.
The POTUS was asked about his finances by reporters in July, to which he replied, "You know why I’m profiting? Because the stock market’s going up. Everybody’s profiting."
