Jonah Hill Pleads With Fans To Stop Commenting On His Body, Stars Praise The Actor's Statement
Jonah Hill is not keen on people giving their opinions on his body.
The actor posted a clear message to Instagram on Wednesday, October 13, that read, "I know you mean well but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body."
"Good or bad I want to politely let you know it's not helpful and doesn't feel good," the 37-year-old 21 Jump Street star added. "Much respect."
Fellow celebrities were quick to praise Hill for speaking his truth. Singer SZA commented under the note, "Absolutely Love you. Thank you!!" Sharon Stone also wrote, "Can i say you look good cuz u do," along with a fire emoji.
The filmmaker's sister Beanie Feldstein added, "THATS đź‘Ź MY đź‘Ź BROTHER đź‘Ź" while actress Olivia Munn left a simple heart emoji under the post.
This is far from the first time that the California native has spoken out about body image. Back in February, Hill kept it real about how seeing his body portrayed in the media affects him.

After a news outlet had published photos of Hill during a beach outing, he wrote on Instagram, "I don't think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid 30s even in front of family and friends. Probably would have happened sooner if my childhood insecurities weren’t exacerbated by years of public mockery about my body by press and interviewers."
"So the idea that the media tries to play me by stalking me while surfing and printing photos like this and it can’t phase me anymore is dope," The Wolf Of Wall Street actor continued. "I’m 37 and finally love and accept myself."
Hill sweetly concluded the message by adding, "This isn’t a 'good for me' post. And it’s definitely not a 'feel bad for me post'. It’s for the the kids who don’t take their shirt off at the pool. Have fun. You’re wonderful and awesome and perfect."
