'16 And Pregnant': Jordan Cashmyer's Fiancé Michael Schaffer Died Months Before Reality Star's Tragic Passing
Yet another twist in the mysterious passing of 16 and Pregnant star Jordan Cashmyer has been revealed.
It has been reported that the reality star's fiancé and the father of her second child, Michael Schaffer, died on September 9, 2021, only four month prior to Cashmyer's sudden passing.
His obituary described the young father as "loyal" and "devoted", before noting he left behind his "beloved fiancée-in-love, Jordan Cashmyer, and daughter, Lyla Nalani Schaffer."
"He was a bright light in the lives of everyone he knew, and he brought great joy and warmth to everyone he met with his one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and his generous and respectful nature," the obituary continued of Schaffer. "He had a profound passion for his work and career as a chef, both at home cooking for family as well as at work in world-class fine dining restaurants. Michael was also a spiritual man, and he believed in the virtue of loving people unconditionally. He will be missed forever.”
Schaffer's sister elaborated on both his unexpected death as well as his love for his family in a GoFundMe created to help lighten the load of bills and funeral expenses.

"In life things happen in which we have no control. Mike’s time on this earth has ended," she wrote in the summary. "Mike was so in love with Jordan and having Lyla was the highlight of his life. I hope we all help Jordan to lay Mike to rest without having to worry about a financial burden. Thank you."
As OK! previously reported, a medical examiner confirmed Cashmyer's tragic death on Sunday, January 16, but no further details surrounding her cause of death have been released to the public.
"Last night I received a call no parent ever wants," the reality star's father, Dennis Cahmyer Jr., said in a statement on the family's painful loss. "My oldest beloved daughter, Jordan has passed away, she was only 26 years old."
"Our hearts are truly broken. No parent should ever have to go through losing a child, EVER," he wrote in a message shared on Facebook. "Please keep my family in your thoughts prayers as we navigate through this terrible tragedy."
