Josh Duggar Was Allegedly Placed On 'Sex Offender Registry' Years Prior To Child Pornography Arrest
New claims about Josh Duggar and his history of alleged sexual abuse is coming to light.
According to a new report from The Sun, court papers state that the 33-year-old reality television personality was put on a sex offender registry after his sisters Jill Duggard Dillard and Jessa Seewald came forward and revealed that Josh had allegedly molested them back in 2006 while they were sleeping.
The two sat down with Megyn Kelly and explained that they had "forgiven" their brother for violating them. Instead, the sisters decided to sue the City of Springdale for invasion of privacy as they claimed that releasing the records caused "extreme mental anguish and emotional distress," after InTouch obtained a police report that claimed that their father Jim Bob Duggar reportedly told police about what Josh had done to his daughters.
In the news outlet's report, on August 2, the Department of Human Services reportedly was served with a subpoena by the Springdale Defendants. In turn, DHS filed a motion to see that the subpoena would not be enforced citing that the sexual abuse allegations aimed at Josh were “private information not within the public knowledge.”

The court documents stated that, "Joshua Duggar was placed on the sex offender registry and a legal proceeding was undertaken to remove Joshua Duggar from the sex offender registry."
“The Defendants have a substantial and compelling need for the documentation in the possession of DHS. The Defendants are entitled to this information and documentation due to one of the central elements of Plaintiffs claims being public disclosure of private information," the documents explained.
The legal papers continued, “The Defendants have a substantial and compelling need for the documentation in the possession of DHS. The Defendants are entitled to this information and documentation due to one of the central elements of Plaintiffs claims being public disclosure of private information."
As OK! previously reported, back in April of this year, Josh was arrested and charged on two counts of receipt and possession of child pornography.
According to official court documents, "Between on or about May 14, 2019, and on or about May 16, 2019," Josh "knowingly received child pornography" and "knowingly possessed material that contained images of child pornography."
