We 'Have Nothing to Prove': Kate Middleton and Prince William Maintain Silence Over Future Queen's Surgery Recovery

Catherine, Princess of Wales, continues to recuperate from abdominal surgery earlier this year, but both she and Prince William, are reportedly "fed up" with "#Where'sKate." But amid the intense media interest in Her Royal Highness, analysts remain firm in their news that the future queen is "doing well."

"My palace contacts have communicated with the princess but haven’t seen her because she is technically off-duty to recover from a massive abdominal surgery," royal and showbiz expert, Kinsey Schofield, dished.

The queen consort-in-waiting's operation on January 16 was deemed both "serious" and "major" at the time and came with a 2-week stay in the hospital followed by over two months of at-home convalescence. Since then, the press and social media have become "obsessed" with her whereabouts, even though Kensington Palace made it clear she would not return to duties until "after Easter."

Kate was photographed in a grainy image in a car next to her mother, Carole Middleton, in early March. After speculation ran rife about her obscured, "puffy face," the Mother's Day photoshop debacle of Sunday, March 10, increased speculation about both she and her spouse "to a fever pitch." Schofield is adamant that the intense interest surrounding the next king and queen has no ulterior motives to hide.

"The same way you or I would be out sick, we wouldn’t have employees stopping by our home when we recuperate," she explained. "It isn’t necessary. Nothing they are communicating about today requires a face-to-face conversation."

She added: "The Prince and Princess of Wales are incredibly private. They’ve always been. It is their objective to allow Catherine time off until Easter. Nothing is alarming about keeping that circle small and secure until she is back to work. William and Kate believe that they have nothing to prove. Catherine’s health is their number one priority."

Some of the more alarming conspiracies about HRH are that she is, in fact, "dead," or her procedure has left some kind of disfiguring side effects she wishes to hide or "hopes will go away" by Easter.

"Catherine has been seen on school runs," Schofield reassuringly observed. "The entire neighborhood is very protective of her and her family right now. They think this speculation is intrusive and out of control."

Not all analysts agree with Schofield's measured approach, and many feel that being the Prince and Princess of Wales brings with it a type of "responsibility" to be seen.

"Kate and William both feel they are entitled to complete privacy when it comes to medical issues," royal author Christopher Andersen shared. "But unfortunately, the monarchy is an institution supported by the British taxpayer. Members of the royal family are living, breathing symbols of the state, as well as public servants. There are ways to handle such matters delicately, without making the press and public feel they are being stonewalled."
