Kelly Clarkson & Brandon Blackstock Are Officially Divorced
Following a messy separation, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock are officially divorced.
TMZ spilled the news that the "Because Of You" singer and her music manager ex-hubby have actually been divorced for nearly 2 months following a clerical error in their paperwork.
The date for the divorce was mistakenly penned as January 7, 2022 rather than the actual date of August 3, 2021. The paperwork is reportedly in the process of being corrected.
The native Texan filed to end her 7 year marriage from Blackstock back in June of 2020 citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their impending split. A source later spilled that Clarkson felt he had used her for fame and lavish living.
“She could no longer trust Brandon, and she felt that Brandon was just using her for her money and lifestyle,” the source explained. “She had tremendous resentment toward him."

The Voice judge also petitioned for primary custody of the couple's shared children River Rose, 7, and Remington, 5, and was granted custody in November.
Despite the win, Clarkson also suffered a few losses throughout the messy legal proceedings. A judge later ordered the reality personality must pay her ex $150,000 per month in spousal support, a whopping $45,601 per month in child support, and she was also required to cover most of the kids' pricey private school tuition costs.
That didn't keep the talk show host from living her best life. After a judge ruled that their prenup would be upheld allowing Clarkson to keep the money that she has rightfully earned, the superstar took to Instagram to share snaps of herself and her a few of her gal pals living it up in Sin City .
She captioned the fun snapshot, "Friends, Vegas, Top Golf, and George Strait…. I dare you to have a better time than me right now."
The Grammy Award winner may be all smiles more recently, but she dished on her difficult year during an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show saying, "2020 has brought a lot of change also to my personal life. Definitely didn’t see anything coming that came."
"What I’m dealing with is hard because it involves more than just my heart. It involves a lot of little hearts," the American Idol alum went on candidly. "We have four kids. And divorce is never easy. And we’re both from divorced families so we know the best thing here is to protect our children and their little hearts."
