Breaking Away from her music career...at least for a little while.
Now that she’s set to take over Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show slot, Kelly Clarkson is ready to ditch music so she can focus on her thriving TV career, an insider tells OK!.
Between hosting her Emmy-winning chatfest and her coaching gig on The Voice, Kelly, 39, “has been crazy busy, and it’s only going to get more intense,” the insider says. “Something’s got to give, and it looks like it will be her singing career.”
The American Idol alum, who split from Brandon Blackstock last June, also wants to carve out plenty of quality time with kids River Rose, 7, and Remington, 5, the insider adds.
“She isn’t about to quit recording and performing altogether, but music will be sidelined,” explains the insider. “Kelly’s pretty savvy. She figures it would be a miracle if she’s still hitting the charts in 20 years, but she can totally imagine herself with a hit show!”

This is just another win for Clarkson, who was all smiles on August 24 after her incredible prenup win against her ex.
As OK! previously reported, the pop star's soon-to-be former hubby petitioned to nullify the couple's established prenup so that they could equally split their assets, and continue to benefit from Clarkson's income.
The "Since U Been Gone" singer reportedly let out a scream of excitement when she found out the judge decided to uphold their prenup, which will not only allow her to keep what she rightfully earned, but will allow her to sell their Montana ranch, regardless of whether Blackstock wants to continue living there or not.
Along with the prenup, Clarkson also won country star and fellow The Voice judge Blake Shelton in the divorce: He reportedly dropped Blackstock as his manager and celebrated alongside the "Because Of You" singer and Ariana Grande following Clarkson's prenup win.
